Our client is seeking a contract Instructional Designer in Scottsdale, Arizona to design and develop eLearning and blended learning solutions. Must be experienced with Articulate 360, SME collaboration, and rapid development, experience with Synthesia or similar software is a plus. Strong portfolio required. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Project Summary
A component of their enterprise onboarding experience to be redesigned from in- person to web-based in two phases, the first for use immediately post-spin (Aug/Sept) and the second for use beginning Q4
Integrity & Compliance (I&C) course updates
A variety of web-based modules that require spin-related or other updates to remain current. Due dates vary and priority will be determined by content owners
Managing for Success
A four-module leadership development program with a pilot launch date of 7/27/26. Design to include moving from basic outline to slide decks with corresponding facilitator and participant guides
Job Responsibilities
Candidate will support the design and development of high-quality learning solutions, creating engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences aligned to business goals. This is a hands-on, production-focused role ideal for someone who can move quickly from concept to deliverable.

Design and develop instructional materials (eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, job aids, and blended solutions)

Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to structure learning solutions

Conduct content analysis and needs assessment in collaboration with SMEs

Translate complex information into clear, engaging, learner-centered experiences

Create storyboards, scripts, and prototypes

Develop eLearning using Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar platforms

Ensure alignment with adult learning principles and accessibility standards

Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly on deliverables

Maintain consistency with branding and learning standards
Job Requirements

3–5+ years' of experience in instructional design

Proven ability to develop end-to-end learning solutions

Proficiency with Articulate 360; experience with Synthesia a plus

Experience creating eLearning courses, facilitator and participant guides, microlearning and job aids

Strong skills in content organization and storytelling, stakeholder communication, visual/UX thinking for learning
Timeline: Mid-July start; 3 month project with a strong likelihood of extension
Schedule: 40 hrs/week with additional hours requiring pre-approval
Location: Hybrid in Scottsdale, AZ; 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Target Rate: Starting at $65/hour 1099
