D365 Finance Trainer (Billing/AR/AP)
Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Trainer to support a live highly customized environment and ongoing rollout for a large, multi-location organization.
This role is trainer-first, with an emphasis on hands-on user support, onboarding, and real-world application of D365 Finance (F&O). While some light content updates are expected, this is not a full instructional design role. This is a high-impact role supporting a critical system rollout. The right person will help ensure users are confident, supported, and successful as the organization scales its D365 implementation.
Project Context
- Organization with 160+ locations and ~8,000 employees
- D365 is already live in one region (Phoenix) and expanding
- This role will help stabilize current users and prepare for future rollout phases
- Environment is evolving—flexibility and adaptability are key
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of:
- D365 Finance expertise
- End-user training experience
- Ability to support users in a live, evolving environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training for D365 Finance users (billing, invoicing, AR/AP)
- Support end users in a live environment (stage data for training, answer questions, troubleshoot, provide guidance)
- Assist with onboarding new users into the system
- Partner with SMEs to develop real-world scenarios for training sessions
- Adapt and update existing training materials to improve clarity and usability
- Modify content based on feedback from sessions
- Create simple job aids and reference materials as needed
- Provide ongoing support during stabilization and future rollout phases
- Collaborate with internal training and business teams to ensure alignment with processes
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O)
- Understanding of finance processes:
- Billing / invoicing
- Accounts receivable (AR)
- Accounts payable (AP)
- Familiar with plug-ins (SK Global) and ?ISVs (bank fabric/SkSoft and exflow)
- Experience delivering end-user training (classroom and/or hands-on)
- Ability to support users in real-time and adapt to evolving needs
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Comfortable working with partially developed or changing materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with D365 Customer Engagement (CE) or onboarding workflows
- Experience supporting users post-go-live (hypercare, stabilization)
- Background in creating training scenarios or job aids
- Experience working in large-scale or multi-location rollouts
Location & Travel
Remote + onsite; travel is required (Phoenix, Ohio + other locations, as needed)
- Initial phase:
- Mix of remote and onsite in Phoenix, AZ (~50/50)
- Future phase:
- Primarily onsite in Ohio (corporate office)
- Travel flexibility required
Schedule
- Full-time to start
- May taper to part-time then ramp up again Q3/Q4 2026
- Some flexibility for weekends and occasional extended hours during key phases (e.g., hypercare)
Rate Target
$90–$100/hr 1099 (flex depending on experience)
Incidental travel expenses will be reimbursed
Major travel expenses will be booked and paid for by the client
