Contract Instructional Designer / Microsoft Dynamics 365 SME

Overview
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer with deep Microsoft Dynamics 365 expertise to support a critical adoption initiative. This role will focus on designing and delivering a blended learning experience that drives utilization of Dynamics 365 among outside sales teams.
This is a hands-on, consultative role requiring both instructional design expertise and functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 to translate system capabilities into practical, sales-focused learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to assess current adoption challenges and define learning needs
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Microsoft Dynamics 365, aligning system functionality with sales workflows
- Design and develop blended learning solutions, including:
- Self-paced eLearning modules
- Microlearning assets (short-form, just-in-time content)
- Reinforcement tools to support behavior change post–kickoff
- Support development of content for a program kickoff session (virtual or in-person)
- Translate complex system processes into clear, actionable learning for sales professionals
- Develop performance support tools (job aids, quick reference guides, short videos)
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and SMEs to validate content accuracy and relevance
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet key milestones
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in instructional design and development
- Proven experience designing blended learning solutions for sales audiences
- Demonstrated SME-level expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (critical requirement)
- Strong experience developing self-directed and microlearning content
- Proficiency in eLearning and content development tools, including:
- Articulate (Storyline, Rise)
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Camtasia
- Canva
- Vyond
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
- Familiarity with sales enablement strategies and CRM adoption initiatives
- Experience supporting technology adoption or digital transformation efforts

- Duration: Approximately 3 months
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Location: Remote – available as needed for meetings during ET hours
- Equipment: Contractor must provide their own laptop and required software
