Duration: 6 months, full-time (40 hrs/week), with possibility to extend
Pay Rate: $45/hr (1099 contract)

Position Overview:
Our client, a Georgia State Government agency, is seeking a full-time Instructional Designer/Developer to design and develop engaging learning solutions. This role requires strong hands-on development skills with Articulate Suite, as the position involves little to no SME engagement. Content availability will vary and may not be curated internally, requiring the Instructional Designer/Developer to work independently to organize and transform available materials into effective eLearning solutions.

 

Work Arrangement:

  • Weeks 1–2: Onsite daily in Atlanta, GA. 30334
  • Weeks 3–4 (Hybrid Wave 1): 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.
  • Week 5 onward (Hybrid Wave 2): 2 days onsite / 3 days remote.
  • After 3 months (based on performance): Potential to transition to full remote, with a minimum of 1–2 days onsite per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement interactive eLearning courses and instructional materials on career development, performance management, and related professional growth topics.
  • Use Articulate Suite (Storyline, Rise, and related tools) to create professional, engaging learning modules.
  • Adapt to varying levels of content availability; organize and structure content where source material is limited or not curated.
  • Work independently with minimal SME engagement to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance for all deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer/Developer.
  • Expertise with Articulate Suite (Storyline, Rise, and related tools) is required.
  • Strong ability to develop learning content with minimal SME input.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work with varying levels of content availability.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous government or public sector experience a plus.
