Lead Senior Consultant -Oracle ERP Instructional Designer & Training Developer
Our client is seeking a Lead Consultant with deep Oracle ERP experience to oversee and support the training initiative within the first phase role out for the Oracle Financial modules with an anticipated expected release of October 1, 2027.
The ideal consultant is a strategic thinker who can quickly understand complex business processes, challenge assumptions, and design practical, workflow-based learning solutions. They are equally comfortable partnering with executives and functional teams, rolling up their sleeves to develop training materials, and helping guide less experienced team members.
This role is best suited for a seasoned consultant who enjoys operating at both the strategic and tactical levels and has successfully supported enterprise-wide Oracle ERP transformations.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
- Serve as an integrated member of the Change, Communications & Training (C2T) team, aligning learning solutions with change impacts and business readiness activities.
- Partner with business stakeholders, functional teams, and consulting partners to ensure training supports organizational readiness.
Curriculum & Learning Design
- Lead curriculum strategy and develop end-to-end learning solutions for Oracle ERP and related business processes.
- Design workflow-based learning experiences that enable users to perform effectively in the future-state environment.
- Create high-quality learning materials, including:
- Instructor-led training
- Virtual training materials
- Job aids and reference guides
- Simulations and exercises
- Case studies and performance support materials.
ERP & Business Process Expertise
- Review and interpret process documentation, system designs, and functional requirements and translate them into effective learning solutions.
- Participate in ERP design and build sessions to stay current on process and system changes.
- Support the development of training environments and identify training impacts across integrated systems.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct quality reviews of training materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Test digital content and performance support materials.
Team Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and consulting partners.
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced instructional designers as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of senior-level instructional design experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation initiatives.
- Deep experience supporting Oracle ERP implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business processes into workflow-based learning experiences.
- Experience developing learning solutions across multiple enterprise systems and integrations.
- Strong instructional design and adult learning expertise.
- Hands-on experience developing learning deliverables and performance support materials.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving transformation environment.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
- Experience with integrated systems such as:
- SAP Concur
- EPR
- PACS
- Other enterprise platforms.
- Experience creating multimedia and video-based learning assets.
- Experience facilitating instructor-led or virtual training sessions.
- Experience partnering with change management and communications teams.
- Experience mentoring or coaching instructional designers.
- Prior consulting experience within large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- Experience working within government, research, scientific, or highly regulated environments.
Location: 100% Remote; must be reside within the United States
Timeline: 1 year contract; ASAP start anticipated to go through October 2027, with potential of extension for subsequent releases in 2028
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week (anticipated)
Target Rate: $95/hr 1099
